A New Chapter Begins: Highlights from the Grand Inauguration of MODO ACADEMY

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world, and today, our community took a massive leap forward in that mission.

We are thrilled to share the highlights from the official inauguration of MODO Academy, in Okrika, Nigeria, a day filled with hope, celebration, and a shared vision for the future of our children. A Ribbon-Cutting to Remember

The ceremony kicked off with a beautiful processional, leading to the highly anticipated ribbon-cutting. Surrounded by students, parents, and local leaders, officially declared the doors open with Rev. Dr. David Okumgba, husband to the founder and member of the board leading in prayers.

Investing in the Future

During the founder's address, Pst. Margaret Okumgba reminded us all why this project matters. "This is not just a school. This is a sanctuary of learning. Every lesson here will be laced with love. Every subject will be taught with purpose. Every teacher will be a mentor. Every child will be known by name and valued for who they are—not where they come from.."

A Foundation Built on Faith and Vision

Before the scaffolding went up and the classrooms took shape, there was a quiet, significant moment on an open plot of land. We remember the day the site was first inspected—not just for its dimensions, but for its potential.

In a moving ceremony of dedication, community leaders and elders gathered on the raw earth to pray for the land. They sought blessings for the safety of the workers, the wisdom of the teachers, and the bright futures of every child who would eventually walk across this ground.
